I often take part in events and shows where possible, The Clio has been on show at Simply French at Beaulieu many times, It has participated iun The RS Route in Yorkshire and has been on show at Autos De France Show at Outlon Park. The Clio even once won a prize from Renault UK X account for best photo location of a Renault promotion.

Celebrating 35 Years of the Renault Clio: Our Day at Autos De France

The Clio was invited to the official 35th Anniversary of the Renault Clio display, hosted by Autos De France at Oulton Park Circuit on Saturday 11th October 2025.

Road Trip to Cheshire

To avoid the stress of an early morning rush, my partner and I drove up to Cheshire the night before. This allowed us to arrive at the gates of Oulton Park early the next morning. Getting there ahead of the crowds meant we could park up, polish off the morning dew, and settle into the designated anniversary lineup smoothly.

The French Car Lineup

The event brought together an incredible variety of French machinery. The anniversary grid spanned thirty-five years of hot-hatch history, ranging from raw 1990s retro icons to modern Renault Sport Cup models. Surrounding our zone, the rest of the venue was packed with an abundance of classic and modified French vehicles, including rare Citroëns, Dimma Peugeots, and Alpine sports cars.

A Lap of Oulton Park

While the day was filled with track racing from series like the Tricolore Trophy, the ultimate highlight came at the very end of the afternoon. Event organizers opened up the tarmac for an exclusive track parade. We took the Clio out onto the historic Oulton Park asphalt to complete one memorable lap before packing up and heading home.
